Collected Works hosts designer Deborah Grossman's workshop Crochet in the Round. In this class students will learn the standard method of making a uniform circle, review how to read charted crochet patterns, and look at design options. Participants should be comfortable with basic crochet.
Deborah Grossman has been designing accessories since childhood, but it was not until she discovered bead crochet in 2000 that she turned her hobby into a profession. Her company Dulcinea Design creates crochet handbags, jewelry, sachets, and hats for children and babies. Deborah Grossman's designs are inspired by handbags popular from the late 1800s through the 1920s. Dulcinea Design puts a modern spin on classic techniques by combining vintage patterns with unusual color pairings, beads, and thread.
