Collected Works presents Maggie Macnab and her new book, Design by Nature. This book takes readers on an eclectic journey that examines the unending versatility of nature, illustrating how to uncover nature's ingenuity and use it to create beautiful and compelling design—from communications to architecture.
Written for designers and creative thinkers of all types, Design by Nature will guide creative minds through a series of unexpected "a-ha!" moments that describe subtle relationships common to all human experience. Using clear explanation, examples, and hands-on exercises, readers will learn about natural processes that consist of every day patterns and shapes that are often taken for granted, but are quite effective in visual messaging. Explore the principles all human beings intuitively use to understand the world and learn to recognize and apply a broad range of relationships for more aesthetic and effective design.
